Just woken up and feeling hungry? You could make breakfast, but why not have it made for you? You’ll even save on the time washing up afterward. Here in Circleville, OH we’ve got some of the best breakfast places in the state. These are some of the most popular places to get your morning energy boost.

A table set with several breakfast foods and delicious orange juice, or perhaps, a mimosa.

Goodwin’s Family Restaurant

Goodwin’s is an icon in our city. It opened its doors in 1979 and has been producing happy customers for more than 42 years. This family-run restaurant has a cozy, at-home style that’ll make you feel relaxed from the moment you walk through the doors. They’ve got a wide variety of breakfast items, and they specialize in home-style cooking. Omelets, country sandwiches, and blueberry or buttermilk pancakes are just a few of their delights.

If you have a hearty appetite, we certainly recommend the country-fried steak with eggs and your choice of potato. Vegetarian options are slightly limited, but their vegetable and cheese omelet with toast is very tasty. All the foods are freshly cooked to order, and you can taste the quality of the locally-sourced produce in every mouthful. Goodwin’s can be found at 214 Lancaster Pike, and they’re open every day from 7 am to 9 pm (8 pm on Sundays).

Steve Village Inn

For more than 25 years, Steve’s has been a go-to venue for excellent food in a friendly atmosphere. The inn is family-owned and run, and the menu is geared to country-style comfort food. Portions are large yet very affordable. They regularly receive rave reviews from locals and visitors alike for their high quality. The staff are friendly and eager to ensure that every guest is happy.

They have a wide range of omelets, French toast, and pancakes for light eaters. We think the star of the breakfast menu is their tenderloin with two eggs and home fries. The steak is always grilled to perfection. If you visit on a weekend, be sure to try the outstanding biscuits with homemade sausage gravy. Steve’s is located at 30 N Main Street, Kingston just 10 miles south of us and worth the trip.

Canal Wigwam

Canal has a very long history. It first opened in 1899 and has been a restaurant for 122 years. A restaurant that’s been around for so long generates very loyal customers. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, you get the same exceptional service. The servers are friendly and seem to know regular customers’ orders before they even sit down.

The breakfast options are basic, but  Canal focuses on the comfort food that makes people happy. Their chicken and waffle is a perfect pairing and a firm breakfast favorite. Breakfast sandwiches, breakfast bowls, and biscuits with sausage gravy are great, down-home food and served in more than ample portions. Canal can be found at 4 S High Street, Canal Winchester.

After an excellent breakfast, come in and check out the exceptional vehicles at Coughlin GM of Circleville.
