Several Trims

No matter what kind of pickup truck you need, the Sierra has a trim option. Looking for a workhorse that can get the job done? Consider the Pro, SLE, Elevation, and SLT. Need to go off-road for work or pleasure? Check out the AT4 and AT4X. Want a luxury experience for the whole family? Go for the Denali or Denali Ultimate.

Different Engines

All the available engines for the Sierra 1500 are powerful, but you have options based on your towing and hauling needs. Four engine types are available, based on the trim you choose. These include the 2.7L TurboMax, the 5.3L gas V8, the 6.2L gas V8, and the 3.0L Duramax Turbo Diesel.

Multiple Cab and Bed Sizes

How much cargo space do you need, and how many passengers will you have? No matter your answer, there’s a right size for you. The regular cab with a standard bed is the standard option for the Sierra 1500 Pro. After that, you can choose a regular cab with a long bed, a double cab with a standard bed, and a crew cab with a short or standard bed, depending on the trim.

The double and crew cabs can hold up to six passengers, while the regular cab can hold up to three. The Sierra 1500 has more cargo bed volume than any of the competitors. The short bed has 62.9 cubic feet of space, the standard bed has 71.7 cubic feet, and the long bed has 81.9 cubic feet.

Powerful Towing and Hauling

The Sierra 1500 can handle a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 pounds. This is possible in a double cab 2WD with the 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine, Max Trailering Package, 20-inch wheels and tires, and a standard bed.

You get a maximum payload of 2,230 pounds with the TurboMax engine. The 6.2L V8 engine offers a maximum horsepower of 420. The maximum torque is 495 lb.-ft with the 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine.

Standard Safety Features

The GMC Sierra 1500 includes multiple standard safety features on all trim levels. You get forward collision alert, lane keep assistance with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, and Intellibeam.

An available safety package for the SLE, Elevation, and SLT includes rear pedestrian alert, front and rear park assist, rear cross-traffic braking, and high-definition surround vision. It also has trailer camera provisions and trailer side blind zone alerts.
