Basics About the 2022 Chevy Tahoe

The Chevy Tahoe is a full-size, four-door, three-row SUV. It can fit seven to nine passengers, depending on seating configurations. If you’re someone who enjoys options galore, then the Tahoe has six unique trims: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. Each trim comes with certain upgrades and features, in the form of premium parts and technology.

The base engine is a 5.3L V8, capable of 355 horsepower. The other options are the 6.2L V8 and a diesel six-cylinder engine. The Tahoe can fit seven people with the second-row captain’s seating, eight people with the standard full-row seating, and nine people with the optional front-row bench seating. This SUV can also tow up to 8,400 pounds.

What’s New

The Tahoe’s technological capabilities have been enhanced with Google’s Virtual assistant, making driving that much easier. Safety measures have also been expanded, adding automatic high beams, lane-keep assist, and rear parking sensors. If you opt for the LT trim or higher, the Tahoe will come equipped with a 12.3” digital instrument cluster.  Chevy has done a great job reinvigorating an already great SUV.

Safety Systems

There’s a reason why full-size SUVs make great family vehicles, their large frames make for top-notch protection. Add in the safety systems put in place, the Chevy Tahoe offers a solid all-around protection bubble. Chevy Safety Assist features systems like automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane departure warnings, and a following distance indicator. Each of these systems are finely interwoven together to create a safe driving experience.

Automatic emergency braking and pedestrian braking will both brake if the vehicle senses a frontal obstruction and no corrective action is taken. It can be easy to get distracted on fast-moving city streets, so Chevy takes some of that burden off your shoulders. The following distance indicator will tell you how many seconds ahead the vehicle in front of you is, allowing you to assess if you’re too close.

Whether you’re looking for a family vehicle, a road trip vehicle, or just something nice to drive around town, the Chevy Tahoe can do it all. The 2022 model focuses on capability, power, safety, and innovation – making it the perfect year to buy.
