When you take delivery of your new Chevy, it’s covered by a range of warranties that provide some of the most comprehensive protection in the automobile industry. Your Chevy warranty protects your tires against defects, for example, although they are not produced by Chevy. As your Chevy dealer, we want to tell you more about the warranty protection you enjoy with your new vehicle.

From Your Chevy Dealer: What’s Covered in Your 2024 Chevy Warranty
Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty
This limited warranty covers the majority of systems and components in your Chevy. In the event of any issue with the materials or labor used to build your vehicle, the issue will be corrected by Chevrolet using Chevrolet-approved replacement parts and Chevrolet-trained technicians. Warranty protection applies for the first three years or 36,000 miles.
Your tires are also protected by this warranty against any defects, but normal wear and tear damage is excluded from coverage. Certain situations are not covered by warranty, including damage caused by lack of maintenance, accidental damage, and damage caused by unauthorized repairs or the use of unauthorized replacement parts. The warranty exclusions are listed in your warranty booklet.
Powertrain Warranty
Your engine, transmission, drivetrain, and transaxle and transfer case, if you have one, are protected against any manufacturing-related issues. This protection applies for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. Almost all components in these systems are protected, although there are some exceptions.
Sensors, your radiator, cooling lines, and wiring are not included in under this warranty as they are covered by the warranty above. In addition, your warranty booklet lists specific situations that are not covered.
Corrosion Protection
Corrosion is deterioration that occurs due to chemical reactions between the material and the environment. It affects metals and certain other non-metals and causes the affected material to gradually break down. Your Chevy’s body metal and all metal panels are protected against the condition by specialized coatings applied during manufacture.
Protection against corrosion applies for three years or 36,000 miles. Any covered component that develops corrosion despite its protective coating will be replaced at no charge.
Rust-Through Protection
Rust is similar to corrosion, but it only affects iron and iron-based materials. The specialized coatings applied to protect against corrosion equally protect your Chevy against rust. Rust-through is rust that appears and forms a hole that penetrates metal from one side to the other. Your Chevy is protected against this situation for six years or 100,000 miles.
Roadside Assistance
You automatically receive free roadside assistance for the duration of your warranty. If you need assistance, expert technicians are available 24/77/365 to assist with tire changing, jump-starting, lock-out assistance, and other issues.
These are just some of the highlights of your warranty. If you’d like to know more, contact us at Coughlin Chevrolet Buick GMC of Circleville in Circleville, OH.
