Under the Hood

The base model GMC Canyon Elevation offers drivers 310 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque thanks to the truck’s durable TurboMax engine. The rear-wheel Canyon possesses an eight-speed automatic transmission with an electronically controlled overdrive, and the transmission includes a haul/tow mode, cruise-grade braking, and powertrain-grade braking programs.

The towing mode grants the engine more acceleration power by reconfiguring the transmission’s upshift and downshift points. Cruise-grade braking uses automatic downshifting to prevent speeding up when going downhill, and powertrain-grade braking recalibrates the engine and transmission to reduce brake wear and increase control.

Infotainment and Instrumentation Screens

The cabin’s main focal point is the 11.3-inch diagonal GMC premium infotainment screen with Google built into it.
